What Does The Authority Site System Cost?

That depends on who you ask! As I’ve discovered during my research, there is a lot of discrepancy as to the cost of TASS. It makes one wonder where these affiliates get their information. Is it just that some of their information is outdated? Does Authority Hackers outfit their affiliates with different tiers of discount pricing?

I never have liked the practice of deceptive pricing. However, I’m not sure if that’s what we are dealing with here. Although, I would think that the price of such a product would be set by the creators of the training course, and it would be set in stone.

Imagine, if you will that Bill Student signs up for TASS through the “Official” website. He pays the full price of $1,499. He later discovers that if he had signed up through some random affiliate link he could have saved $900! I believe that Bill would be quite upset… and rightly so!

I suppose there are different ways to look at it, but this is how I see it. So, let’s take a look at some real issues with the cost of TASS.

Decoding The Authority Site System Costs: Navigating Pricing and Discounts

If you sign up directly through the Affiliate Hackers website, it will cost you $1,499 for a one-time payment, or 6 payments: 1 at $333, 5 at $330 for a total of $1,983. That’s almost $500 extra! Not to mention a whopping $1,983! Unless of course, you happen to catch one of their special offers.

Of course, if you go through one of their affiliates’ websites, you can get a massive discount! But be wary of who’s affiliate link you sign up through. Here’s what I mean by the cost depends on who you ask…

“The Authority Site System’s regular price is $1499 one-time or six monthly payments of $330.

But use this link to you’ll save $900 instantly or $198 monthly 😉

In addition, there are some tools and services you’ll need to buy after signing up for TASS.

Here’s the estimated breakdown of extra costs in month one…

Ahrefs – $99/mo for 2-3 months
Domain – $18/yr
Hosting – $36 year one
Elementor Pro – $59/yr
So you’ll need around $215 extra your first month.” Copied verbatim from an affiliate’s site.”

ebizfacts

Okay, let’s try to process this. By going through this affiliate, you can save $900!? Mixed message much? And then, there are these extra costs… $99 for ahrefs for 2-3 months? So after 2-3 months you no longer need ahrefs to do keyword research or competition analysis? Or is it suggested to upgrade to a higher cost level of ahrefs at this point?

Well, let’s review the annual costs from this information. $99×12 +$18+$36+$59=$1301. There went the $900 discount and then some in the very first year once you add the “extra” costs.

I understand that there are costs involved with doing business. You can’t expect a business startup to be free. Right? So, starting a business for less than $2,000 in your first year is quite acceptable by most standards.

But wait, there’s more!

(I just love saying that. Don’t you love to hear it?) There are more costs involved.

Purchasing backlinks and optionally purchasing content: According to their “case study,” I believe the suggested amount to pay for backlinks is around $500+ per month. And also content costs of around $3,000 per month. At least these are the amounts they paid for the case study site. Uh, Oh! Your costs just increased DRASTICALLY!

What does this bring the annual total to now? $1301+$500×12+$3,000×12=$43,500! Oh MY! However, it’s still not that bad considering the costs of a traditional business startup. And the fact that their case study makes over $50K in profit seems reasonable. But there are no guarantees that YOUR site will even come close to this amount of profit… if any!

However, the content creation costs are optional. You can create your own content. It just takes longer.

Oh, and let’s not forget the $599 you paid for the course. That’s really not a bad deal in and of itself, though. But the added costs… WOW!

But, I almost forgot. Many of these affiliates have misrepresented the monthly payment costs. As we know, the monthly payment plan offered on Authority Hacker’s website is 6 monthly payments. The first of which is $333. But, some of these affiliates have said 6 equal monthly payments of $330. This IS just a $3 mistake, but still…

If you’re still here, let’s take a look at what some other TASS affiliates have to say.

Screenshot of the discount price version of the signup page for The Authority Site System by Authority Hacker.

Yet More Affiliate Cost Analyses

Here’s what Drew says,

“However, the discount is built in this link so just click and enjoy $750 off right now That’s a 50% discount off the regular price.
Yes! There is a payment plan.

If you don’t go through the discount link above, you’ll have to pay $330 a month for 6 months.

If you click the discount link, you’ll get it for $164.89 a month for 6 months.

That’s for a total of $989.34. If you pay just the one-time fee of $749, you’ll be saving yourself $240.34 over a period of 6 months.

The better deal is the one-time payment. But you do have the monthly plan available if you wish. $164.89 a month is really not that bad. Much less than a car payment and cars don’t make you money!”

drewsreview

That’s mighty generous that Drew offers a 50% discount on TASS. But, wait! The previous affiliate offered a much better deal! And once again Drew touts the 6 payments of $330… WTF?

Yet another affiliate:

“Price $249/mo for 6 months or $997 one-time payment

Get a 40% discount using this link”

Blogging Lift

Is the 40% discount the $997 price tag? Or 40% off that amount? I’m confused.

What year was this? Did this affiliate fall off the face of the earth and forget to update any of his info? This shows a completely different price and payment structure than anyone else. Plus it falls short on the video count… Once again, WTF?

And yet even another affiliate:

“Authority Hacker’s main course, The Authority Site System 3.0, costs $1,499. However, our readers can get a $750 off discount with this link.”

Freedom Bound Business

Ohhh, another generous 50% off offer… Shall I say it or do you get the picture?

And yet, even still and again, another affiliate:

“The Authority Site System sells for $997.”

Niche Pursuits

Oh, hey. Lookie here. Another affiliate:

“💰 Price $1,499”

“And if you’re ready to fast-track your affiliate marketing success right now…

…sign-up to The Authority Site System via my affiliate link here…as long as the offer isn’t sold out…

…you’ll get a discount down to $599!”

The Double Think

I’ve never seen so much differentiation in the cost of anything!

I really don’t know what to say. This sort of thing simply leaves me speechless. If I hadn’t seen it with my own eyes, I would have been skeptical about it. I had to blink my eyes a lot! Then get the Windex and clean my blue blockers and stuff. Crazy!

More Affordable Alternative to The Authority Site System

But, what if there was a lower-cost alternative?

What if… there was a training program that you could sign up with that offered:

  • A keyword/competitor-analysis/keyword-tracker tool and then some
  • Up to 2 domain names at no cost for the first year
  • Website hosting for up to 10 websites at no extra cost
  • A website builder that’s so simple that a 7-year-old can use it
  • An AI content creation tool
  • An AI niche finder tool
  • And so much more!
  • And all of this for less than the monthly costs of ahrefs alone! I gotta say… This sounds enticing!

Wouldn’t you like to find out about a deal like this? Take a gander at my Wealthy Affiliate review. You won’t be sorry.

AP Investagators pros and cons banner image with AP Investagators modified logo

Pros & Cons: Is The Authority Site System Worth the Money?

Things I like:

  • The fact that it’s a relatively low one-time payment… especially if you find the right affiliate to sign up through.
  • Community: Having the Facebook group means you have another avenue of support.
  • Video support: The fact that the support team takes the time to create a video to answer your questions is over-the-top!
  • Training Quality: The training in this course is simply top-notch for its kind. Gaining insights and looking over the shoulders of millionaire affiliates is invaluable.
  • No Upsells! They don’t use the “Upsell” tactic that so many supposed “gurus” do. You pay the best price you can find for the course and have full access to the training forever!
  • No Extra Cost: When they update the training, which is more often than most other programs can boast, there is no upgrade cost.
  • Site Mapping: You learn to plan your site out in advance so there is no confusion on which way to go or what to do next.
  • Step-by-step Approach: All of the training takes you through the exact process you need to follow with step-by-step, over-the-shoulder videos.
  • SEO: Simple explanation of SEO tactics, do’s and don’ts.
  • Link Building: There is a complete module that teaches you how to build quality links!
  • In-depth affiliate and affiliate program training: affiliate rules, affiliate disclosure requirements, affiliate program sign-ups, etc.
  • Case Studies: Much of the training is following along as they create and scale a live test site.
  • Live Help: Live Q&A in the Facebook group.

Things I don’t like:

  • The confusion over the cost of the training… Is it $499? Is it $1,499? More? Less? There should be some sort of baseline instead of mass confusion!
  • Their product landing pages look like the jumbled mess created by the so-called affiliate marketing “Gurus” of days gone by. They blast you with tons of student success stories, with proof of this and that and huge blocks of confusion, and it’s just too much until you finally have to click on their scammy countdown timer, scroll all the way to the bottom to sign up, or simply jet away from the website just to escape all the clutter!

If they taught you to structure your own site like that, I would never use nor recommend the course!
  • The extra expenses: There are quite a few extra expenses incurred with this training. Much of it is mandatory, and some of the more critical components are optional.
  • Sometimes the Facebook group isn’t all that forthcoming with help.
  • They use ahrefs in the training. I use a different keyword/competitor analysis tool because it’s included in my favorite training platform.
  • They are based in Europe which creates a time clash with my being in the US.
  • Gael’s accent takes some getting used to.
  • Lacks in social media training.

Final Verdict: Should You Invest in TASS?

When it comes right down to it, I think it’s a solid investment. Sure there are some issues with the platform as a whole, but nothing is perfect, especially in the affiliate marketing realm of education.

No two people have the same mindset. No two training platforms have the same curriculum. To each his own.

Aside from a few issues with this platform, all in all, it is some really great training and instruction.

Thumbs Up to the Authority Site System

So, do I recommend it? You bet I do! If you can foot the bill for the extra niceties, they are well worth the extra expense. Especially the outsourcing of content. Although this has been made much simpler with the onset of AI, it still frees up a lot of time for you to do other things like start another niche site.

Once you get these processes outsourced and/or automated, your business will skyrocket!

The sky is not the limit my friend, CyberSpace is… and it is limitless!

If you can do this once, you can do it twice. If you can do it twice, you can do it twice as fast the next 3 or 4 dozen times! ETC! The more you do it, the easier it gets and the quicker the process becomes. So get started now with The Authority Site System!

Trustpilot Score and Reviews

Trustpilot is a consumer review website founded in Denmark in 2007. The platform is designed to allow customers to share their experiences and opinions about businesses and services. It operates on an open review system, meaning that anyone can write a review, but businesses cannot pay to remove or alter reviews.

Trustpilot Score

Authority Hackers has only one review listed on Trustpilot and it is not for TASS, but rather for Authority Hackers themselves. It is a 5-star review, however.

Trustpilot doesn’t have enough information for Authority Hackers or its products to give them any credibility or a very high score. They have only earned a score of 3.7, but like I said, they don’t have enough data to go by.

I have done an online search for customer reviews of TASS and all I could find were review blogs that are promoting the product.

Screenshot of a video testimony by Charlie, a TASS student,.
screenshot of a TASS student's proof of affiliate earnings

Source of TASS Customer Reviews

The only exception I could find was a site called eBiz Facts. This is a site not unlike AP InvestaGators that reviews various affiliate marketing training programs. They can sometimes be biased or over-critical when it comes to certain programs. Especially depending on which program they got their start with.

What’s more, many of these kinds of review sites will look for anything negative to say about any programs that are in direct competition with their number one referral program. Authority Hackers is obviously the top referral program for eBiz Facts. Just as Wealthy Affiliate is my top referral. And these two programs are in direct competition with one another.

TASS Customer Reviews From eBiz Facts

You can find many glowing reviews on this site. But I have been in this business for a while now and I can tell you that it is easy to curate these types of reviews, especially when you happen to be in the same Facebook group as the people giving the reviews.

All-in-all, every review I’ve read both on other affiliate marketing review blogs and the customer-generated reviews on eBiz Facts has had great things to say about TASS, as do I.

The score given to TASS by eBiz Facts is an overall 4.8 stars from 51 reviews. And like I said, there are no reviews or a score for TASS on Trustpilot.

Integrity Is Important To Me

I could have used this same tactic in my review site but chose against it as I might have found myself inviting the cream of the crop, as it were, to post their reviews. It’s really easy to skew this type of thing in whichever direction you want to take it.

I always strive to keep my reviews as unbiased and honest as possible. I glean as much information as I can before I ever consider whether or not to even write a review for a product. And I will generally not even review products that I find not to be useful to my readers.

If I ever use a product and find it not useful the most attention I will give it will be to mention it as an alternative that some people have considered but that I do not recommend.

Of course, I am an affiliate marketer and I earn a commission for any sales of a product I am responsible for generating. But I am also quite an empathetic person. I could not in all good conscience ever recommend a product I didn’t personally believe delivered on its promises.

  • Website Platform: TASS recommends using WordPress, which is the most popular and powerful website builder in the world. WordPress is a free and open-source software that allows you to create and customize your site with thousands of themes and plugins. WordPress is easy to use, SEO-friendly, and scalable for any type of site.
  • Hosting Service: TASS recommends using SiteGround, which is one of the best and most reliable web hosting providers in the market. SiteGround offers fast, secure, and affordable hosting plans for WordPress sites. SiteGround also provides excellent customer support, free SSL certificates, daily backups, and more.
  • Keyword Research Tools: These are tools that help you find the best keywords to target on your site. TASS recommends using:
    • Ahrefs: a powerful and comprehensive SEO tool that provides keyword data, competitor analysis, site audits, rank tracking, and more. However, ahrefs is a premium tool that costs $99 per month for the basic plan.
    • Alternatively, you can use Google Keyword Planner, a free tool that shows you the search volume and competition level of keywords. However, Google Keyword Planner is less accurate and less detailed than Ahrefs.
  • Analytics Tools: These are tools that help you track and measure your site performance, such as traffic, conversions, revenue, and more. TASS recommends using:
    • Google Analytics and Google Search Console, are free tools that provide you with valuable insights into your site’s visitors, behavior, and health.
    • You can also use Ahrefs to monitor your site’s rankings, backlinks, and organic keywords.
  • Autoresponder Tools: These are tools that help you build and manage your email list, which is one of the most effective ways to monetize your authority site. TASS recommends using:
    • ActiveCampaign is a powerful and user-friendly email marketing tool that allows you to create and send personalized and automated emails to your subscribers. ActiveCampaign costs $9 per month for the basic plan.
    • Alternatively, you can use Mailchimp, which is a popular and free email marketing tool that offers up to 2,000 subscribers and 12,000 emails per month. However, Mailchimp has fewer features and flexibility than ActiveCampaign.

My Recommendation for The Authority Site System

As I have said before, I highly recommend TASS. I believe it delivers on its promises. It has a well-laid-out curriculum and covers all the bases quite thoroughly. I believe that if you follow the training from TASS, the only thing that could keep you from succeeding is you.

My Best Alternate Recommendation

Consider Wealthy Affiliate as a top choice, offering comparable training at a significantly lower cost compared to TASS. With Wealthy Affiliate, you get access to essential tools without extra charges upfront, unlike TASS, which requires a minimum upfront payment of $599 and monthly fees ranging from $200 to over a thousand dollars.

Wealthy Affiliate’s straightforward monthly or yearly membership comes with all-inclusive access to tools and a supportive community, eliminating initial extra costs. They provide website hosting, are a domain registrar, and also include necessary tools at no additional cost.

For those leaning towards TASS, use this affiliate free link to sign up with The Authority Site System. If Wealthy Affiliate intrigues you, follow my affiliate link to their sign-up page or read my Wealthy Affiliate review for more information. While Wealthy Affiliate offers a discount for yearly payments, there are no hidden savings through affiliate referrals, ensuring transparency and fair pricing.

Wealthy Affiliate maintains a clear fee structure, avoiding the need for discounts through affiliate partners. While TASS is commendable, concerns about pricing practices hinder a higher recommendation. If not for this issue, TASS would receive a stronger endorsement.

Thank you for reading my review of The Authority Site System. Feel free to share your experiences with TASS or provide feedback on my review. Stay updated with AP InvestaGators for program updates and recommended tools in the industry.
